Manuel captures a honeybee swarm

This past week, Manuel captured a honeybee colony that had swarmed to the roof near the lab’s hives.

Manuel adds a swarm of honeybees to an empty beehive.

With this new addition, the lab now has seven honeybee hives.

Manuel holds a frame full of honeybees, with a temperature logger embedded in the frame.

A newly filled hive.

With plenty of bees, the lab’s experiments on mechanisms of honeybee clock entrainment will certainly continue this summer!
